WONG Hong Zhou (HZ) has over 22 years of international experience in multiple industries in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Oman, and UAE. He has led many successful turnarounds and transformational realization in various corporate structures. He held senior leadership positions such as Group Chief Financial Officer of Dialog Axiata Plc, Senior Vice President, Group Controllership of Golden Agri Resources Ltd, Country Controller / Director of Shell Companies of Malaysia and Cluster Controller/Director of Shell Companies of Greater China, and he was the Deputy CEO / Finance Director of Shell Oman / UAE.

While at Dialog Axiata plc, Sri Lanka’s quad-play connectivity market leader, Hong Zhou led the strategic transformation and resilience of the financial, operational and governance performance of the Group, safeguarded its Fitch’s AAA (lka) rating during the severe macro crisis years. Hong Zhou serves as Board of Directors in the subsidiary companies operating in various sectors such as Mobile, Digital Pay Television, Fixed Telecommunications, International Services sectors, Data Centres, Fintech, and Innovation Fund invested in early stage start ups in Agri, Insurance, Media, Education and Health sectors.

Hong Zhou graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance & Marketing from the University of Adelaide, Australia and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Hong Zhou also earned certifications in the Blockchain Strategy Programme and the Fintech Programme from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
